This private applicator category is for those who will be applying restricted use pesticides in greenhouses & nurseries that they or their employer owns and operates. Getting certified in this category does not allow for applications to row crops.
Notice: In recent years, the EPA updated federal rules on who can use restricted-use pesticides (RUPs), setting a minimum age of 18. To be compliant with federal standards, Wisconsin updated state regulations in ATCP 29. As of July 1st, 2026, anyone seeking certification and/or licensing must meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
